Easter peel sessions.

In accordance with our lovely tradition ('tradition' is the keyword in our corrupted times), several consecutive days before Easter are usually spent on preparations of tons of dishes, cakes, pies, pricks, dongs and dick knows what else, shopping from dawn till dusk (and, consequently, standing in gigantic queues).

Man, these spring brakes are tricky like hell!

The whole rush starts with gathering some lingonberries to decorate the Easter basket (which is to be explained later in detail).

This is mazurek, a short baking with a devilishly sweet filling made out of milk, sugar, vanilla, optionally with a pinch of cocoa, decorated with raisins, almonds, date and various dried fruit. Lastly, it's prepared only once a year, for Easter. A highly efficient calorie bomb.

Also only once a year, pisanki or decorated/coloured eggs are prepared to be put into the Easter basket with foods that are blessed on Saturday. These foods include the abovementioned pisanki being the symbol of rebirth, bread and meat standing for opulence, and salt which should protect from depravity (although one can see with a bare eye no one gives a damn about this).
